Residential buildings in Gouda, Netherlands by vanOmmeren-Architecten

The complex is in Gouda, South Holland. The notorious cheese is named after the city, not for being produced there, but because it was traded in the area. However, there is nothing cheesy about this housing project. Composed of three buildings with nearly 200 apartments, of which 41 will be for social housing, two-layered parking, and solar heated water system, the plan enriches and redevelops the landscape.
The architects were interested in solar exposure of the buildings, so we did an additional sun study.
